Aimee Brewerton

Aimee joined Purpose Disruptors in 2021 as Comms and Community Engagement Manager.

Her experience spans 10 years across media, marketing and in house brands. Prior to joining the PD team she’d spent 7 years at the BBC, working across BBC World Service, BBC Music & Radio and most recently launching and growing the BBC Sounds app.

She kickstarted her career in leading media agencies MGOMD and MediaCom working on major brands such as John Lewis and Cancer Research UK.

Aimee is nature obsessive. Which led her to quitting the BBC to partake in a MSC in Sustainability and Ecology at the progressive eco-centre The Centre for Alternative Technology, in Wales. Aimee is deeply interested in the importance of reframing our relationship with the natural world and the transformative power of understanding our place as part of nature. You can often find her traipsing around Epping Forest or Walthamstow Marshes taking bird surveys or regenerating the canal banks with local groups.
