Established in 2020, Purpose Disruptors Ireland was started by individuals from competing agencies bound by a common goal - to meaningfully mobilise the industry’s climate transition. We host regular events and gatherings with a fast-growing community of over 400 individuals, supporting connection and action across the Irish creative communications network.

10 Agencies Collaborate On New Client: ‘The Future’
Representatives from HAVAS, Publicis Dublin, Core, Verve/Showrunner, TBWA/Bolt, Droga5, Folk VML, Bonfire, THINKHOUSE and The Public House have come together to reflect on the role of the marketing, media and ad industry in supporting a thriving future, where we all live and work more sustainably.
The Outcome: A unique campaign will be delivered by this new ‘superagency’ for the future in November 2024.

PR WORKING GROUP research
Launched on 10th February 2022
Toward the end of 2021, Purpose Disruptors Ireland PR working group undertook primary research among Irish PR communications practitioners to benchmark sentiment and thinking around sustainability in PR and Communications in Ireland. The research aim was to identify the challenges, concerns and opportunities for change around sustainability in the PR & Communications industry in this country. The intent is that this report and its findings will provoke a discussion and help inform communications professionals, individually and collectively, on what next steps the industry should take to build sustainability into their work, with a schedule of follow up workshops, events and talks to be organised throughout 2022.
EVENT RECAP: CLIMATE, COMMS & MEDIA JULY 2021
On July 9th, 100 members of the PR and creative communications industry in Ireland gathered for a Q&A discussion with Dr. Pat Brereton (academic and co-chair of Dublin City University’s MSc in Climate Change) and Kevin O’Sullivan (Irish Times Environment and Science Editor). Hosted by Purpose Disruptors Ireland, supported by the PRCA & PRII, it focused specifically on the communications industry and the media plays in tackling and communicating the climate emergency in Ireland.

EVENT RECAP: SUSTAINABILITY LEADERSHIP with ali sheridan
What kind of leadership does the world need right now? The need for the creative communications industry to adopt a leadership role in the context of climate and sustainability was revealed in our Great Reset work last year. We found that 90% of the population think it is the advertising and creative (communications) industry's responsibility to encourage more sustainable behaviours, like during lockdown.
Over 50 members of the marketing, advertising, PR & communications industry in Ireland got together in March, to learn more about what it means to be a sustainability leader today. Read more here.
